A couple weeks ago, i faced my fear of heights.
I was at Adventure Park and decided to try the arcade. I walked a plank about 15 feet in the air (actually, that may not be completely accurate, but it was very high up to me).
one of my biggest fears is heights. it felt different stepping out of my comfort zone.
I learned
1. Fear lives in the future.
What we're afraid of is in the future and not in the present moment. So being present is key. Instead of thinking "what if I fall?" I changed that thought by realizing I was not falling in that moment. There was no need to speak negative scenarios into existence.
2. Be positive and hope for the best:
This ties into my first point. changing perspective is key. If you are someone who focuses on the negative aspects or negative outcomes, change that by focusing on the good things that could happen. Replace "it will not end well" with "it will be a rewarding experience."
3. GET OUT OF YOUR COMFORT ZONE:
this should have been the first point. when was the last time you did this? As humans we are constantly doing what's safe and comfortable. Failing to realize that some of the most successful people took big leaps they were uncomfortable with to get where they are. Everything great takes work.

4. Let go:
Letting go is trusting in a higher power. Knowing that you are not alone and that you are being aided by a higher power who is working in your favor. Once you understand this, you will feel better about letting go of fear and trusting that you are divinely guided.
5. PUT SOME "RESPEK" ON YOUR NAME
Sometimes, fear is just you telling "self" that you see yourself as weak. Have that confidence to know that your capabilities lie beyond your knowledge.
6. You will never lose; you have everything to gain
Doing things that scare you has two outcomes. One is that learn, become more experienced, and grow. And the other outcome is that you succeed. Regardless, it will be worth it in the end.
